Lip Blush Pre-care + After-care

PRE-CARE INSTRUCTIONS
To achieve the best results, it is essential that you understand and follow the pre-care instructions.
  • Please make sure to bring a government issued photo ID to your appointment. Must be 18 years of age.

  • Do not drink caffeine, alcohol or work out 24 hours prior to your appointment.

  • Do not take blood thinning medications (with consent from your physician) and supplements such as vitamin E, Fish Oil, aspirin, niacin, or ibuprofen 24 hours prior to appointment.

  • Avoid high vitamin supplements (i.e. power shakes/greens & “Hair, Skin, Nail” vitamins) 24 hours prior to appointment.

  • Avoid intense tanning 1 week prior to your appointment. 

  • Discontinue Glycolics, Chemical Peels, Retin-A and any eyebrow growth serums 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

  • Refrain from using any Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) products near brows 2 weeks prior to and 2 weeks after appointment.

  • Check your moisturizer, facewash, BB/CC creams and makeup/primers for acid containing ingredients

  • If you use Botox, it should be performed 2 weeks prior to or 2 weeks after your appointment.

  • WE DO NOT WORK ON ANYONE THAT IS PREGNANT OR STILL BREAST FEEDING, NO EXCEPTIONS

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

AFTER-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To achieve the best results, it is essential that you understand and follow the pre-care instructions.
  • Keep your lips clean and dry of any fluid that may be present after treatment by blotting with paper towel.

  • If needed, you can apply an ice pack with a sterile barrier or take ibuprofen post treatment.

  • Use Aquaphor consistently throughout healing process to keep your lips moisturized as directed by your artist.

  • When showering, avoid letting water contact treated area until fully healed (7 days)

  • No filler in the lips for 6 weeks. 

 

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

DO NOT put anything other than Aquaphor on lips for 7 days.

AVOID hot, sweaty exercise for 7 days.

DO NOT rub, pick, or scratch the treated area, allow natural exfoliation!

AVOID irritation from salty or spicy foods. Use a straw while drinking as your lips are healing.

DO NOT use products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or exfoliants near lip area.

AFTER THE HEALING PROCESS IS COMPLETE

After the scabbing has naturally exfoliated (approx. 7-10 days), using sunscreen on your lips minimizes fading.

Avoid using retinol, acid containing products, or lightening properties on or near lips. Avoid scrubbing or exfoliating properties on lips.
