About Ombré Brows

WHAT ARE OMBRÉ BROWS?
The Ombré  “Powder Eyebrow” is a cosmetic tattoo shading technique that creates an ombré appearance beginning darker at the tails of the brows and moving lighter into the center of the brows.
Unlike microblading, which uses a manual handheld tool to create individual hair strokes, the Ombré Brow method uses a digital handheld machine to produce micro pixilated dots throughout the brows for a subtle, powdered in, makeup finish.
Ombré Brows are ideal for anyone looking to achieve a fuller result than microbladed hair strokes and perfect for those who want a bolder look that can totally replace makeup. The results are waterproof, smudge-proof and natural-looking!
TWO-APPOINTMENT PROCESS
Your Ombré Brow transformation is not completed until after the complimentary touch-up. Your touch-up will be scheduled the day of your initial appointment for approximately 8-12 weeks after your initial appointment. During your touch-up appointment we assess the shape, color retention, and any areas needing modification.

An annual color boost is recommended every 1-2 years to keep the pigment color looking fresh. Over time, the pigment will fade leaving the skin and your natural brows behind - lighter at the bulb (front) of the brow and going darker towards the tail.

Ombré Brow results will fade over time and can last approximately 1-5 years depending on the client. Every client retains pigment differently based on skin type, age, sun exposure, daily routine, etc.
ARE OMBRÉ BROWS FOR YOU?
We do not recommend Ombré Brows for the following:

THOSE PRONE TO KELOIDS OR POST-INFLAMMATORY HYPO-PIGMENTATION

Unfortunately, since ombré brows involves opening the skin, it is our policy not to work with these conditions.

IF YOU HAVE A TRANSMITTABLE BLOOD DISEASE SUCH AS HIV OR HEPATITIS

Again, to prevent the transmission of blood-borne pathogens, we do not work with these conditions.

IF YOU'VE HAD JUVEDERM, BOTOX, OR OTHER FILLERS IN THAT AREA

If you use any of the following, it should be performed 2 weeks prior to or 2 weeks after your ombré brow appointment.

PATIENTS UNDERGOING CHEMOTHERAPY

Although ombré shading is great for restoring the appearance of eyebrows, we recommend having your eyebrow treatment done prior to chemotherapy and require a doctor’s note for anyone undergoing chemotherapy.

IF YOU HAVE ANY KIND OF SKIN CONDITION ON OR NEAR YOUR EYEBROWS

Including eczema, shingles, rashes, etc.

IF YOU ARE PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING

We do not perform any eyebrow treatment during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. This is the policy for most permanent makeup artists.

IF YOU HAVE RECENTLY HAD COSMETIC/LASER TATTOO REMOVAL IN THE EYEBROW AREA

You must wait at least 8 weeks after removal to have permanent makeup done in the eyebrow area.

THOSE WITH DARK PRE-EXISITING EYEBROW TATTOOS

The tattoo/permanent makeup must be light enough for us to re-work. If you have a previous eyebrow tattoo, please send us an email to contact@campbellnicolemicroblading.com and include a picture of your eyebrows with no makeup, so we can evaluate.

THOSE WITH ALLERGIES TO ALCOHOL OR NUMBING AGENTS

If you think you might have an allergy to our pigment, anesthetic, or alcohol, then you may have a reaction to our work.

ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18. MICROBLADING IS FOR ADULTS ONLY!

We do not recommend microblading or ombré brows for anyone under the age of 18. It is our policy at Campbell Nicole Microblading not to work with children, even with a consent form.
